Newbie Here

Hey all, newbie here from Ohio. I've been wanting to get into the hobby for a while, but didn't want to get started while renting. Now that I bought a house and things have settled down, I'm ready to dive in!

Have been considering ~40-75 gallon size, and really like what I'm seeing with the Red Sea Max E-260. Open to ideas, but it seems that people are pretty happy with even the stock setup. This is definitely a first for me, but have an experience person to help me in my journey.

But here my welcome pescatarian.hope all is well and probably best to go with biggest tank you got room for and budget for as bigger tanks usually more stable and gives more option for bigger fish,bigger aquascapes and placement of corals

Welcome to R2R! I'd recommend basing your tank size on the type of fish you would like to keep, especially if there are any "must haves" on your wish list. While 45 gallons can seem like a lot of water, many of the popular saltwater fish do better with larger tanks.

Welcome to the salty family. I will second the earlier posters.... think about what you want in the big picture. 45 sounds big. It's not. If you have room, shoot for 100.
