Nikon D40

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Nikon D40? I have been looking for a camera to do tanks shots with and one of these has come up. Standard lens with a second 55 to 200 lens(I think) Please let me know your thoughts. If I purchase this what macro lens should I buy.

Go with canon, i like canon for allot of reasons, nikon is also good but it's all personal preference. If you where to go with canon get a 100mm 2.8 macro they run about 450. If your pockets are deep enough get a 100mm 2.8 macro with IS there about 1000. There both easy to use canon lenses. You could easily get away with a canon rebel XTI body for what your looking for. If you want to do a little step up from the XTI go with a 30d, very good body for any one. sorry my post has nothing to do with the dark side nikon it's just you had zero responses and i only know about canon.

Thanks for the reply. I have had Nikon's since I was a kid and that is what I am familiar with I will check out the canon.
