I have both Hanna & API test kits.
Nitrate for API is 10 ppm
Hanna low range checker is 2.38. Are these good readings?

Take a water sample to an LFS that does NOT use Api kits and see what they come up with and to compare with yours. While they can be acceptable based on amount of coral you have, you want to have a comparison and know where numbers are truly at

You may just want to get a good titration test kit for nitrates, ie: Salifert, Nyos, etc. The Hanna LR is notoriously difficult to use for HR tests (and can be inaccurate because user error is prevalent).
The Salifert and Nyos tests aren’t titration tests. You still have to read the color change against a scale. If you know of a titration test I’d definitely check it out

Sorry, I just meant a non-Hanna test kit for ease-of-use. Salifert, Nyos, Red Sea (etc.) test kits are relatively cheap. I have the Hanna LR Nitrate kit and I chucked it when I got the HR one. I'll let you guess why...

been thinking of chucking the Hanna myself
I think you will thank yourself after you switch. I literally just gave mine away so I was tempted to go back and forth. Regardless on which is more accurate, salifert is 10x more consistant and I think that's what were all shooting for in this hobby. Good luck
