Hello all,

I’m defeated. I have a 2 year old system and all of a sudden I’m having small patches of (what I think hair and cyano, will post pics) I’m not sure what’s causing it. My nitrates fluctuate between 10-15 and my phosphates 0-0.8 (Hanna testers on both). Alk:>8.6, Mg:>1300, Ca:480. I use RODI water and have it tested often with ATI labs. Any and all advice is welcomed. Thank you.

Your answer lies in your ability to research and understand how to brew your own and dose live phytoplankton

Use that magnifying glass icon to research the R2R library

There will always be algae. As long as there is nutrient thats feeding your corals, those same nutrient will be feeding the algae.

Cuc, and other measure can keep it stable and in check but its not something that you can completely get rid of in a healthy and stable tank
