Seen this at the LFS and picked it up for $20. Kid there tried to first tell me it was a soft! I’m knew and knew it was LPS, so didn’t bother asking him what exactly it was. I thought it was a torch, but it is small and has a lot of heads. Has both green and purplish arms with blue tips. Looks awesome under blues.

Looks like a galaxea to me.

Thanks, new to this and I’m still learning. Time to study up. I placed it mid tank about 8 inches away from anything else. Looks fully open, put it in last night.

They have long sweeper tentacles just like a torch and can sting and kill nearby corals. So be careful. When this small they won’t pose a big problem but something to keep in mind.

Galaxia are pretty but a word of caution, they can have some long sweeper tentacles and can kill corals around them as they grow. Give it plenty of space!!

Just reading up on them. I have a ton of space, so I can give it its own area without problems. Thanks for the info. Since I was thinking torch in this area I was leaving a big area free. I’ll be keeping him there. Also, need to move him a little lower. Says they do best in lower par.
