Will these work on deep tanks? How many would be needed for 6'x2'x2' mixed reef.
If you plan on having a few pieces Acropora on the top and just some sps like Stylophora, monti then go for 3-4. If you want more Acro then 5-6 or better yet get 4 k7lights and use t5's as supplementation.
I am running 3 and that is overkill on my tank but I didn't want to use t5's as a supplement to the led so I went with the extra fixture .

Getting back on topic I will post some new pictures this week.

Was the video at full brightness or what setting do you operate them at?
The video is shot with a 15k lens cover to take out the blue.
My settings at that time of day was
A:10%= white
b:75%= light blue
c:90%= dark blue
d:70%=UV
e:6%=green/red

Yup, I reckon you should get some in there. Thank you for the research. I've got a single over a 17" not a cube, light to sand is 27" and @ 2/3rds power ab+. I will bump up the d channel maybe. Nice tank and video! My little frags are happy with the light.

my SPS was looking fantastic under my ProII lights until Dinos showed up again and screwed up all my SPS
Ouch!! I had dinos early on and got rid of them pretty fast cause they were ostreopsis so easily killed by a monster UV. I am showing some tiny, tiny bubble algae so that is my next battle.

I have been sort of doing some thinking about this thread-
Since I have a thread on my tank where people can see what lights I have and make judgments for themselves. Is there a need to keep this thread going as it feels like I am just double posting?

By all means simplify, simplify. :)

If you want to nuke the thread, it is yours. There is some insight to some settings and important things on the posts. I have a frag that needs saving that I can add to this post through time. Let me get some pics of it, and at the least, provide a link to your other page for a clean breakup.

What I bought:

What I received :

And what it is four days later:

It still has skin on it, but going to be a project piece for sure. I give it an hour or two in some flow, then back to the sand bed in low light and reduced flow so it doesn't shed what's left. Haven't seen a polyp yet in four days. We'll see what happens.

That is sad, please post this over at my build tread so we can continue discussion on this coral-
