If you plan on having a few pieces Acropora on the top and just some sps like Stylophora, monti then go for 3-4. If you want more Acro then 5-6 or better yet get 4 k7lights and use t5's as supplementation. Will these work on deep tanks? How many would be needed for 6'x2'x2' mixed reef.
Was the video at full brightness or what setting do you operate them at?New video on the coral
The video is shot with a 15k lens cover to take out the blue. Was the video at full brightness or what setting do you operate them at?
My settings at that time of day was
A:10%= white
b:75%= light blue
c:90%= dark blue
d:70%=UV
e:6%=green/red
Yes that is it. I think it is time to try some acropora as the tank is really stable right now with my alk at 8.1 every day at 3pm.So around high noon with an adjusted ab+ setting for your needs?
Ouch!! I had dinos early on and got rid of them pretty fast cause they were ostreopsis so easily killed by a monster UV. I am showing some tiny, tiny bubble algae so that is my next battle.my SPS was looking fantastic under my ProII lights until Dinos showed up again and screwed up all my SPS
By all means simplify, simplify.I have been sort of doing some thinking about this thread-
Since I have a thread on my tank where people can see what lights I have and make judgments for themselves. Is there a need to keep this thread going as it feels like I am just double posting?

That is sad, please post this over at my build tread so we can continue discussion on this coral-What I bought:
What I received :
And what it is four days later:
It still has skin on it, but going to be a project piece for sure. I give it an hour or two in some flow, then back to the sand bed in low light and reduced flow so it doesn't shed what's left. Haven't seen a polyp yet in four days. We'll see what happens.
