Hey All,

I've just ordered one of the Noopsyche K7 V3 and I'm wanting to 3d print a bracket to mount it up onto some 30x30 aluminum extrusion that I have used to make a light rail above my tank.

However I can't seem to get any information on what the spacing is on the screw holes on the back that the bracket mounts to.

I was wondering if anyone on here would please be able to let me know what the spacing is and what size bolt is used to mount them to the light so I can draw something up and print them prior to getting the light.

Thanks in advance.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the screws are m6. I used calipers for the measurements so they may be off a mm or so. From center to center long run I get 140mm and 59mm on the short run. The hump for the fan is raised about 6mm above the housing. This is a K7 pro III back up I have that is a couple of years old. I'm not aware if any changes made but couldn't say for sure.

You are a legend, that is exactly what I needed.

Thank you for checking that for me.

I'll get something drawn up and share the file once done for if anyone else can use it.

Cheers.

Ok, So I drew up a couple of brackets today to suite the above measurements, I have made the holes on the mount with a little clearance so that it should still work if the 59mm is off slightly.

Also I made a second mount to suit the fitting if your using the x bracket. To use this you will need to get an M4 threaded brass heat insert and an m4 bolt to suit.

These brackets are to suit the aluminum extrusion in the below link for if anyone else wants to print them, the extrusion should be available online or local as its pretty standard.

Also I'd like to point out I haven't actually tested this on the fitting yet as I haven't received them but I'd say it should work.

Thanks.

Just an fyi for anyone considering using these. They worked with the lights. Just need longer m3 screws to reach the light through the bracket.

I do like it because it keeps the fan more open compared to the x bracket.

@Justy86 would you be able to modify and share these brackets to fit a 2020 aluminum extrusion?

I could try make something, however there is a fair few different types of 20x20 aluminum profiles that vary very slightly. send me a link to the one that you have or are thinking of getting and i'll draw it up so it suits.

Try the one in the zip, hasn't been tested and I'm no Cad wiz. I attached a jpeg of the extrusion I based it off.

hope it works.
