I have mine about 11” above the water. My tank is a mixed reef, and I started out on the LPS setting, but had to lower the intensity a bit, here is what I have it set at right now:
A. 15%
B. 55%
C. 55%
D. 40%
E. 1%
F. 55%

They ramp up over 3 hours to this max intensity, and then ramp down for 3 hours, with 6 hours at max intensity.

Also, remember that the lights automatically ramp up/down between each of the 8 scheduled times, so for example, if for #2 time slot you have A. at 50% at 10am and for time slot #3 you have A. at 30% at 4pm, from 10am to 4pm, channel A will slowly ramp down (over six hours) from 50% to 30%.

Definitely agree they are great lights, supposedly they have a new 75 watt light coming out that is app controlled, so hopefully the next version of the K7 will be app controlled as well.

@noopsyche ? I'm guessing the tank is 30cm deep, right? These lights do out out an impressive amount of PAR so you might be pretty high at the surface (which is great for SPS). Your Zoas and SPS look happy. Zoas usually don't like a ton of light in my experience so the fact that they're open and not stretching a ton means you're probably right around where you should be (maybe a little high) so if it's not broke don't fix it?

I think it's a different wavelength UV spectrum than the sterilizing UV lights. I keep my blues as high as I can tolerate and then mix the white, green, red, and UV to suit my liking. Too much red, green, and white can help lead to algae growth. Too much UV gives it a purplish tint. I think my UV is at 25 or 35 but I have deeper tanks - 24" (60cm).

Any idea what ideal setting light on my tank? Maybe i can try it first.

@noopsyche is in China so they won't usually be on until later in the evening (it's morning here in the US). They're pretty good about responding to questions. I'm trying to think of who might be running one over a nano currently. I know I have a different brand nano light over my 20cm deep tank. The light is 50 watts and I run only the blue channel at 75%. It looks super dark but my SPS are at the very top and my low light corals at the bottom are happy. No LPS though, only SPS.

It is (a different wavelength). UV sterilizers are usually between 200 and 300nm (254 is supposedly the ideal), most ‘UV’ channels in reef lights are 400-420nm and aren’t actually UV, they’re ‘near UV’, though there are a few lights that have some 390nm diodes that are technically UV (sub 400nm is UV).

UV 50% is ok. and 80% blue channel also ok. I saw your question on YouTube and answered it. You can also adjust it appropriately by 5% to 15%. My suggestion is to be close to the brightness of the previous lights. Then slowly adjust the brightness according to the coral reaction.

Yeahs, it's normal. From 8 to 9, it slowly increases in brightness like the sun,
