Noopsycher K7 V3 Diffuser +shade?

Do most users of the K7 Pro III use the diffuser + shade?
I saw a photo from another user where part of the light seemed slightly covered—would that be okay?

No diffusers on my six k7s. I do use shades to block some the light spill because the tank is in our living room.

I don't notice any shadow patterns but i have a lot of open space with no large coral colonies.

What % are you running your lights overall? I am thinking about these for my 6' x 24" x 20" and have been seeing 3 or 4 as supposed to be enough in other non-name brand lights. Have you par tested? Planning a mixed reef and would like some acros down the road. Thanks!
