Im fairly new and got this coral from my lfs and was told its an Acan. Im not a 100% sure but just want to double check with you guys. Because compared to my other acan he seems slightly different in other ways. But also alike.

It does look like an acan to me :)
Okay i just wanted to check. Hes still fairly new like a few days but compared to the one hes next to he doesnt really swell up or extend its tentacles like the other one. But he still be verymuch adapting to the tank still.

Acanthastrea enchinata should be given a wild berth from Micromussa lord. They may look similar and both referred to as Acans but enchinata packs a bunch for surrounding corals.

Enchinata the polyps are not as distinct from each polyp head. Colors tend to be combinations of oranges, yellow and browns with colors blended together. Mussa, more defined polyp heads, distinction to coloration, reds, blues, greens.

Okay sweet. I still moved my other one away from him because i dont think he was liking his spot in all to well. But now hes starting to swell up and eat meaty foods but the weird thing with that one is i only see his tentacles out at night versus the orange one always has his out.
