So while doing my research im finding some conflicting information on this coral being NPS or PS .
The shop tells me it's photosynthetic, but internet tells me only pacific gorgs are photosynthetic and they are usually purple or brown.

So which one is it? Cause i wouldn't want a NPS coral.(or at least not yet)

ive found sources online that tell me that the yellow finger gorgonian can also be found in the Pacific/Carribean and is therefore photosynthetic.
Then again i have read the opposite as well.
Confusing to say the least.

That is a classic nps gorg.

I used to have a 90g nps tank. All the large polyp stuff did great for me but stuff like these gorgs and dendropenthia soft coral likes would always fail. LPS nps are easy to feed. While stuff like the gorgs and softies are trickier. Maybe with a much larger choice of frozen planktonic food it may be easier now then 20 years ago. I have done tons of research before leaving the hobby and after returning and I see some people are having great luck. What I have found is certain copepods, rotifers, and phyto are almost exclusively needed for luck especially with some of these gorgs. What I had read was their polyps dont react with nonmoving feeds at least not to the extent they need so living rotifers and thing of certain sizes that move on their own are needed to induce feeding. So unless you want to culture rotifers and the correct pod species I would not get anything in the nps gorg range until ready to do so. Trust me blueberry gorgs, red, and yellow finger gorgs and sea fans are some of my favorites and always tempt me.
