I had that glue and didn't want to spend the $$$ on that for PVC. That system has been in service for almost two years. Worked fine.
I ended up using that kit and seemed to work great so far. But i didnt use the regular i used the one from the picture as i think the regular one was larger and double the price. Just read this perfect!Dana, you are correct, and you'll remain just fine. You can use CPVC cement on PVC, but you don't want to use PVC cement on CPVC. :cool:

BUT, as already stated, you don't need the purple primer (not being code inspected) and clear would be prettier. Clear is available, but not sure if it comes in a kit with the cement.
