Are you using CPVC (tan pipe)? ....I doubt it.

If "regular" PVC (white pipe), this kit would be better:

BUT, as already stated, you don't need the purple primer (not being code inspected) and clear would be prettier. Clear is available, but not sure if it comes in a kit with the cement.

I had that glue and didn't want to spend the $$$ on that for PVC. That system has been in service for almost two years. Worked fine.

Dana, you are correct, and you'll remain just fine. You can use CPVC cement on PVC, but you don't want to use PVC cement on CPVC. :cool:

I had that glue and didn't want to spend the $$$ on that for PVC. That system has been in service for almost two years. Worked fine.
I ended up using that kit and seemed to work great so far. But i didnt use the regular i used the one from the picture as i think the regular one was larger and double the price. You used the same kit i did and worked fine right?

I usually agree with @redfishbluefish,

But the purple primer and glue are the only ones to be used!, Otherwise, how can I convince my wife I actually did it and did not pay someone?:eek:
