Welcome to the Reef2Reef POTM Contest - Photo of the Month

Sponsored by
Avast Marine!

This month's subject -Clams

Deadline to Enter: 31 Oct , 2022 at 11:59 pm (EST)

Looking forward to great shots of colorful clams ! Remember, the photo has to have been taken by you, and the subject has to be in your aquarium.
No watermarks or captions are allowed in the pictures and pictures with watermarks will be disqualified.
A bit of info around your shot and your clam, how long have you had it, is it visibly growing in size, what light its under, any special care tips... would make for good discussion.

This is a photo contest after all and we're looking for the best photograph. Yes, you can use a post-editing product to better your pictures. In fact, we encourage it.
Few tips,
Clams are rather still so slower shutter speeds or focus stacking might be possible and might make your shot nicer.
Clams look better in top down shotsVS front shots so try a few top down shots if possible.
maybe include some fish in the shotto add some dynamics and also for a sense of scale of your clam size.

As always refer to the multiple photography articles or post any questions you might have on the photography forum for better support. Maybe also post a few pictures for suggestions and critique to improve your shots wile preparing for this months contest as well.

My lost crocea and its Botrycladia. Attacked by an emerald and not quite enough light. May I learn and become a better steward.

Taken on phone (Motorola G Power 2021) using an Orphek phone filter lens (yellow). In the Photos app, the image was cropped, magic eraser was used to remove LED glare in bottom right corner and a "honey" filter lessened blue background.

Full glass of Mimosa, iPhone from the front glass, no editing. Kessil 500x ran low in a LPS 34g.

Woah
Woah, okay, you win.
That looks like it has hieroglyphics on it.
Way cool!
Thanks Dburr1014. At the LFS under a bluer spectrum I thought it had pink streaks so I jumped on it. At home it looks like maybe those were just scuffs but the pattern is pretty crazy on it
