Odd shaped leather coral

So I noticed that a lot of leather coral are bowl shaped and mine are more mushroom shape. Does anyone know why? They are growing great and seem to be doing amazing trippled in size in two months.

you would be correct, but why is it more rounded then bowl shaped

Give it time. Itll spread out. The wider the cap gets the more it's open towards the light.
