I need to get a new membrane for my 3 stage Coralife 50 gpd RO/DI. I looked on Internet and found they run about $80 at the cheapest for an OEM. I found a DOW Filmtec one for $35 for the same unit. I just wanted some opinions on other peoples experiences with buying new membrane. Should I buy OEM only, or do the aftermarket one do as good of a job ?!

Get a hold of [email protected]. Hes in Cincy OH, and is a very knowledgeable guy on this stuff. Id be willing to bet he has a membrane that will work for you under $30.

Agreed, Buckeye is great, ordered from them a bunch of times. Aftermarket one should be fine, as I buy filters from different people depending on price comparisons. Just make sure you match the gpd numbers :)

You can get a specially treated and batch tested 90 GPD Spectrapure RO membrane on sale for $30 here:

Add a $5 capillary tube flow restrictor and you have a 90GPD RO system that wil be better than 98% efficient.
