Off the wall idea , biocube to satellite tank

I had a brief idea the other day or running the biocube as a satellite tank of off my main system... Has anyone done this with an all in one ?

I've seen a biocube style AIO used to filter a separate 10 gallon for the guys girlfriend. It was on youtube, not sure what I was searching for when I saw it though. It was a mess of a setup but looked like it was working.
