Off Topic --- What's Everyone Doing For This Long Weekend?

Wishing I was fishing
Every time I go fishing, I go to the closest lake near me (45 mins away) and I sit there and drown hot dogs for a few hours. *I would consider myself an expert :grinning-face-with-sweat: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:*

What day is it? Every days a holiday for us old retired guys :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I'm still working, but still struggle with what day it is. Every weekend for me is either a three day weekend or I work it, will be that way for the foreseeable future.

My young peach tree had tons of little peaches on it this year. Gray squirrels took every one and a month ago they started on the apples.

I told my wife I was considering taking up squirrel hunting, the season started today.
I love it!

He just got down how to use a spinning reel and was out there for about 2 hours just casting and reeling it back in!
THAT IS COOL!!!! I remember training on a Mitchell 408. Dad had a Mitchell 308. I still have my old reel, but it needed work. Fixed it, thankfully. I really like the 408. It's a dinosaur, but I don't care.

Went fishing with some friends, got sick from some creek water. Currently using a box of tissues per day.
I've lucked out with creek water over the years I hiked and fished high lakes in the Cascades. Never got sick in the hundreds of times I went up with Dad. He did once.

OK. You officially suck!! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: I'm WAITING for those days still. Only a few more years!!!!

I put a new roof on my equipment shed. The shed is where my sump and frag tank is.

I went to put in a vent fan and found the OSB had gotten wet. It got rain at one point and the moisture of all the equipment never let properly dry.

It was a bit of a pain to pull all the insulation and then the roof off while the system was running.

That's cool! Ya know, you're gonna look back on these times with your Pop with complete nostalgia. I spent a lot of time with my Pop and he really did good by me. He passed about 3 months ago (87) and I miss him terribly. It's the sign of a good Father.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope all goes well for you.

Ok plumbing done! I was able to hide all of the lettering facing the wall so it doesn't look like garbage when looking from underneath. Got the drain a little too slanted, but it will drain into the sump pretty close to the ball valve is
