Hi all, thank you so much for your love, concern, and prayers for Josh.
He fell from our loft stairs in our shed. He was airlifted from PA to Harborview. He is just getting his own room now in ICU. He is sedated and has a ventilator for probably two days to help his lungs heal. In the fall, his ribs perforated both of his lungs, his lungs are severally lacerated. His air and blood seeped in to his upper body. Several ribs are broke, he has a fractured pelvis, fractured vertebrae, ruptured spleen, a small brain bleed, and a large head gash. He is comfortable and won't remember this sedation they said. I am with him and his mom, brother, and sister in law. Kids are with Grandpa and doing ok. I will try to keep you updated as I find out more. We are so grateful for the love and support, it is keeping me going.
My sister Nancy lost her battle with cancer yesterday afternoon. She beat lung cancer, (not the small cell kind caused by smoking), twenty years ago. Five years ago they found brain cancer in the early stages and it was placed in remission. Six months ago it came back and further treatment was not successful stopping it from spreading. She was 65. I appreciate prayers for her soul and comfort to her family.
Prayers your way. We lost our mom last Sunday at age 66 to metastatic renal cell kidney cancer after a 5 yr battle. RIP Mom.
Praise report :) My two rummies are doing good and we finally know what on earth is wrong with me. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I've been placed on some medication and am feeling TONS better.
I appreciate that. My Mom's got it too so I'm no stranger to it. I am, however, feeling loads better now that I'm on some muscle relaxant medication and my psychiatrist prescribed something for the anxiety. I was beginning to wonder if I would have to get rid of some of my tanks, but now I can handle it again. I even upgraded *_* I'm excited to say I have a secondhand but beautiful 125 FW in the bedroom and an as-yet unscaped secondhand 125g SW in the living room now besides my betta's 10 and a 29 with Mom's non-reef-safe fish. I'm turning the 125 into a reef and I'm pleased to say I'm feeling well enough to handle that.I will continue to keep you in my prayers. My mother has it and i know how bad it can get :(
