I am planning on getting their 120G tank but probably not before September.

Does anybody know if their Sale price is a fake sale and it's their actual price or is there any chance I might miss out on it if I wait?

I've been watching it for a little while and it doesn't seem to change but wanted to make sure.

Thanks

I really do like rimless vs euro braced. I do have plenty of room on my wall for a 150-180. It’s all about how much money I want to spend haha. I really appreciate the pics, I will text Steve and and let him know I want a rimless with a ghost over flow.

that is a nice tank you have there good sir! if you are going to upgrade make it worth your while by getting what you really want.
better start saving up for 2 more kessils.
if it was me and I have that space I would think about a 240 8x2x2 or even a 300DD 8x2.5x2. I have a 240 years a go love it...gave it away when I moved as the guy baged out of the sale :/
Steve responds pretty fast via FB if you have any questions or need a quote.

I think you will be fine. might even catch a deal of the day. but who knows. I also would consider getting it drilled.

If you can wait till the end of the year, around Black Friday / Christmas time, they’ll have a bunch of sweet “Deal of the Day” offerings for many of their tank models that provide substantial savings over what they currently list.

What do you mean by having it drilled? You mean for a shadow overflow instead of the in-tank?

I have a 75 gallon, 36x24x20. I received a quote for a drilled 120 using a ghost overflow, but ended up going with a Red Sea tank I am able to pickup locally for timing purposes.

Yes, Steve of SCA can custom drill a tank for you for a Synergy Reef Shadow overflow. However, because it’s not one of their standard “off the shelf” offerings, I don’t think you’ll be able to take advantage of the savings offered at the end of the year with their “Deal of the Day” specials.

You can't do the deal of the day pricing, but their customs are still cheaper than most other off the shelf tanks.

I love there 75 I dont think they offer them anymore in there line up.( you can custom order them I am sure ) I went back in forth for a week or more between the 75 and 90 ended up with more water volume in the 90 but sure like the height of the 75 tho...

yes not only shadow but other overflows to, like modular marine etc. they will just need where you want it and the template from the overflow you decide on...
Do you know how much more it is than getting the standard in tank? Assuming there is no special of the day or other specials on the standard

Your best bet is to call Steve of SCA. He’s very responsive and will be more than happy to work with you.

I'm glad I stumble across this thread. I am looking to get a SCA120 or 150. They are only a few hours away from me so I plan on picking it up personally, check out the show room and save a little cash on shipping. I have a 85 gallon currently so i'm still debating on what I can reuse from my current set up (not much). If i went with a 120 I could continue running my 2 kessils and probably get away with running my 30 gallon sump for a while. The 150 on the other hand would add a lot more expense to the build. I just want to do it right this second time around and i'm afriad that if i went 120 i would later regret not getting a 150 haha. I also plan on getting one of their solid wood stand rather than MDF, can anyone tell me about the build quality of the tank and stand as a whole. Pics would be awesome as there isn't too much on the internet. Thanks everyone!!

There is no showroom to checkout. It's a warehouse with everything in cardboard boxes. There is one tank on display. It's about half full of water, covered in algae and not running. Go for the saved shipping costs. Not for stuff to look at lol I saved quite a bit by picking my tank and stand up

Also, make sure you have plenty of time. They took almost 2 hours to get my tank and stand out of the warehouse. Took time to move all the other stuff that was in the way. The warehouse is very unorganized. That was also with me giving them 2 days advance notice on what I want and when I would pick it up. Would i do it again? Absolutely, I am in no way bashing them. Just letting you know what to realistically expect
