Nori on a clip is a terrific idea ...

Quarantine would be a good idea as well, Acanthurus tangs are notoriously prone to ich and velvet ...

Be aware that clown tangs like a lot of real estate as adults, and have a reputation for crankiness ...

He doesn't look beyond saving to me at all!

Quality care and possibly a spot of antibiotic will be your friends there. @Jay Hemdal is our resident disease sorcerer (all right, science-based researcher), I'm sure he'd want to see clear photos of the issue. He's got a sticky thread in the Disease section that details the info he needs to give his best assistance.

These guys become eating machines and will quickly fatten up. I must warn you- They develop into a very nasty/aggressive tank occupant just like their cousin the sohal tang. Give it a good acclimation and introduce if you havent already when the lights dim down
