I am trying to make a DIY D.E. Filter. I saw people converting the Magnum Polishing canister into one. I don’t want to spend $150 on a new Vortex. Would I be able to cut the 5-10 micro filter paper below to fit the media baskets in the API? There are 3 of them. Then I could charge it using w buckets and RO.

We used to use filter paper and sprinkle DE on it to filter fryers at the restaurant.

Any thoughts?
