I was going to go jebao but want something with more consistent quality.

I was looking at sicce voyager, rossmont m series, & the koralia evolution. Then getting their controller down the road.

I'm mainly doing fish and beginner type corals in a 210 so not trying to set the world on fire or drop the dough on mp's

The front runner right now is the evolution strictly due to power consumption but I really do like the others. I just want a good quality powerhead for around this price point that doesn't require constant attention to run correctly.

Voyagers are huge and ugly. I had them, not anymore. I went with the gyre and some inovative marine desktop dc pumps in the dead spots. Not trying to say buy gyre if you don't want to break the bank. The IM pumps move A lot of water for their small size but maybe not enough for a 210 gallon tank.

I am using a jebao ow-10 and I have zero complaints so far.... I can replace it almost 5 times for the cost of a mp-10... Imo it's a no brainer.

If you want great powerhead wave makers, but don't want to spend a lot of money, jebao is your option

I would go with the max spect Gyre 350 - nice programmability - quiet - seem reliable - good customer service.

I use two Rossmont MX4100s with a Waver. I am very happy for $400 for two Italian made WiFi controllable pumps it is hard to go wrong. Generally you find they are comparable in price to the Hydors especially if you get the 2 pack and you can always buy the waver later. I would definitely do the MX4100s for a 210

I agree with comments above.

Low budget = Jebao
If not I'd strongly consider the Icecap or Glamorca gyre for a 210... No need to go for the Maxspect brand if your budget is limited.

I guess after reading the reviews of the Icecap vs the Maxspect Gyre on BRS I would disagree - there are several reviews stating that Ice caps are louder. and less reliable requiring more maintenance. I have used the Maxspect 2 series - and the newer ones - are silent - the older ones were a bit louder.

I can attest to this, the IceCap 3K i have does require cleaning every couple weeks or it gets a bit noisy. Nothing out of control loud, but you can hear the pump. Seems to be when there's a bit of algae growth where the squirrel cages mount, they get a bit out of balance and you can hear the pump. When cleaned, they are pretty quiet. I agree that the Maxspect Gyre is most likely a superior product, but you'll being paying more. All depends on the budget and what you are willing to spend on a pump.

How's the controller? I haven't heard good things about it. I like the powerheads though

I am very happy.

The capabilities of the controller are perfect. You can do anything I can images wanting to do. Pulsing, standing waves, random mode, slow altering swells, feed mode. The standing wave is not the easiest to program but to be honest besides the old school tunze waveboxes I haven’t found an easy way to program a standing wave on any pump.

The software is definitely easier to use with android vs ios. I have had some times where I could not connect but after a power cycle everything came back.

I will also say I am the kind of person who programs the pumps and doesn’t touch them for months. Right now the pumps go to a slow constant setting at night, then I have slow alternating swells, then random, followed by a storm mode. I just let that run.

That makes me feel better. I run android so I was wondering about that. I'm the same way with programming

If it's not too complicated. How did you set that up?

I ended up going with the mx3k's with controller.

I have the jeboa RW20 and does ok. Very cheaply made, had to fix the rubber mounts on mine after about a year. It does work and is very powerful. I would look into the icecap gyre. Very low profile and does an amazing job of moving water in the tank

It Isn’t too complicated but it may be more than I can put in this post. You can PM me if you have specific questions. The most difficult step is setting up the WiFi connection just make sure you know your WiFi password and put it in correctly or else you will have to restart the process.

I was looking at the 3k icecap. They move some serious water from what I've seen on YouTube. The reviews were all over the place. Most were about being high maintenance so I decided to pass right now. I'm going to try the rossmonts since I'm just getting things going on this tank but ill try the icecap on down the road I really like the gyre flow.

Jebao is good on a tight budget but I wanted something that I feel is more reliable.
