Opinions/Questions on a few fish...

I think I should get...
•One type of schooling/shocking fish
(a school of three)
•The cowfish
•A Really non aggressive Pygmy angel that’s being kept in another tank at the moment
•one or two bottom dwellers
•one surface-ish dweller

Sunburst anthias is better than lyretails because sunburst are more retiring and deliberate.

Perching blennies can be mixed with free swimming blennies.

Most schooling/shoaling fish aren't great choices for cowfish, although small cardinals could work.

I wouldn't mix a pygmy angel with a cowfish, most Centropyge are too active and territorial.

How about this

One Thornback Cowfish
Three zebra dartfish (if that won’t work then I’ll put 3 orbiculate cardinals)
One Sunburst Anthias
One midas blenny
One six dot goby
And it would be great if the angel could added, could I just add it last after everyone else has settled? It’s a smaller centropyge an African Flameback and I’ve kept it with smaller gobies at one point and it never was aggressive with them

Flamebacks can get aggressive as they get more established.

Rockscape should provide a lot to explore, as cowfish are quite inquisitive..

Mandarins aren't a great tankmate because cowfish can be nippy and mandarins produce a pretty noxious slime coat.

Okay, I’ve got new plans for the angel so this works out perfectly for the most part. There’s not much info on it but would the thornback cow need any other dietary needs other than what a normal cowfish would?

A thornback will eat most meaty foods.

Okay, I’ve got two more questions. What corals do they do good with? Are there any inverts I should avoid keeping with them?

Leathers and mushrooms are usually safe.

Cleaner shrimp are fine once the cowfish reaches 3"+. Cowfish may pick at other motile inverts but aren't great hunters of motile inverts.
