I don't know which are the legit pearlberrys but imo this version is by far the nicest. I lost my colony over a year+ of it browing out fading and just not really growing much until the skin got so thin it died on me.
I want this back........I've got a few frags but not sure what I have now till they grow out more.
Kind of a not very good question maybe, but any idea why it died like that? I know sometimes with acros it's "just because", but was wondering if maybe you had any suspicions.
That was just beautiful, I don't know which is worse, a year long, slow death, or an instant, over-night one
This is a frag from cherry corals , what you guys think?
Ok so now they have seen what it looks like what is it care requirements and if you have had and got it to a colony what was your parameters?
Cherry Corals is the vendor who bought the large chunk I posted earlier. I assume this frag is from that piece.
Thank you for the confirmation. I have 3 different versions currently of pearlberry. I feel like the latest is actually it but I'm not taking chances. Ordered one from Cherry Corals. At the worst, I'll have two I can put together to make a larger colony.Yes and somewhere underneath all that is a black ORA plug.
Picked this up last year. Was much smaller, unhealthy looking, and turd brown. Today it’s one of the quickest and healthiest growing Acropora in my tank. Looks like a true Pearlberry but I’m no expert. Picture was taken under my Blue LED’s with an orange filter.
Here was a picture of it 7 months ago.
One of the best Pearl Berry I have seen. Still a favourite of mine.I don't know which are the legit pearlberrys but imo this version is by far the nicest. I lost my colony over a year+ of it browing out fading and just not really growing much until the skin got so thin it died on me.
