i have been looking to add another plate to my collection. I came across this one MCC Agent Orange Plate Coral / was wanting to get other feedback before I decide on it. I was wondering, I have seen other orange plates go for $59 or so, is there a particular reason this one is so much? maybe someone with more experience can possibly chime in!! thanks in advance

It is a different orange color than normal. It also has some pink undertones and what looks to be a purple rim. IMO kinda overpriced. I saw a purple one with red tentacles and red stripes *RARE* at MACNA for the same price.

As you know there are several morphs of the "orange plate."

Some more expensive, some less.

I prefer the pink and orange wagon wheel w/ either green/yellow polyps with purple tips.

Anyways, I picked one up this weekend for $50 at a swap. It is brighter than everything in my tank. However, it is more of a pastel bright. I would say some of my other corals are brighter when it comes to the vividness tho.

I would try picking one up at a swap. Several vendors normally have them and they are priced right.

There is a nice on from a sponser here:
