Hi Everyone. I recently set up 5 Orphek iCons over my 450g tank. Using the app, I set the same programmed schedule for all 5 lights. The issue I’m having, is all lights randomly shut off at 8:00pm instead of following the schedule. There is no ramp down, it just goes from bright lighting to completely off. Lights have been running for about a week, so they’ve definitely cycled through a full programming. Any ideas what could be causing the issue? Thanks in advance for any help!

Was also thinking that maybe you need to makde sure you upgrade the firmware on each of them and reset each fixture. Its odd to turn off like that and the program is not showing it. You may need to contact Orphek about it.

I an a new Icon Atlantik owner, as well as new to LED's. I just got back in the hobby after about 10 years. I always had MH, T5, VHO on my past tanks.
I find my light doesn't aways follow thew schedule. Programming seems daunting as well. Orphek customer service was great prior to making the purchase. Now, not so much.
I do like the light, but I think I see Radion's in my future.

Yeh, I found a few challenges between using the app and lights’ response.
What worked for me:
Old computer guy here, and found you sometimes need to apply the old “power cycle the box” to provide some incentive to the system. After a firmware upgrade I went through re-discovery of all of the lights, all of the above steps, and they still didn’t want to play nicely despite showing the preferred program being used. I disconnected each of the lights from the outlets (yes, a hard cold start) and all worked as “designed”.

- Create the light program and save it
- Add all the lights to a group
- Go to the group you’ve just added all the lights to and click on the icon that looks like a “bulleted list” in the middle of the screen to find the program you’ve just saved
- Click on apply

To anyone who finds this thread wondering why the lights are turning off at 8pm.
You need to go into your lunar settings and adjust the lunar time back. The default is to start at 8pm which is what is turning off the lights abruptly.

No problem, I found this thread when it happened to me then after trying many different things.. finally figured it out. Was like.. I need to go update that thread because dang it, no one ever follows up when they resolve the issue and then every new person is left pulling their hair out trying to solve it.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I have been fighting with this for 4 days since the last update. Currently in the middle of a conversation with Orphek that stalled, because it's the weekend. Understandable.
Go into the settings and sure enough, lunar programmed for 8pm.

I didnt realize there was an update until you posted. I updated and then it reset my schedule and it blasted my corals LOL.

Just found this thread, looking for scheduling issues, and i found the answer to why my lights shut off at 8pm. Now I know and thank you! In addition though, my schedule is set to come on at 9am. When i check on the tank around 7am, the lights are already on and pretty bright at that. I am pretty sure everything is updated but I have no idea what time the lights are actually coming on now. Anyone have this issue?
