Hey guys I recently purchased the orphek aluminum light mount. I mounted it on my waterbox 60.3 and about 2-3 weeks later I have the black coating used coming off into the water. Does anyone have experience with one of these mounts or a suggestion on what I should do. I’m not sure aluminum should be in the water as it is now that the paint material is gone. Also not too amped on the thought of that being released into the water either.
I emailed orphek tonight about it so I will respond with what they say. $90 mount so I’m not happy about the current issue.

If you look closely it almost looks like the snails have been eating the coating.

Hi,

Get an answer back? I would expect then to be powder coated so that should not happen. Maybe quality control fell asleep
