How high above your tank do you mount your lights? On Our Natural Sun-lit reef we are 92.494 million miles give or take

Mate! With how high you've mounted your light, it's made it a bit bright over here! Can you dim it down bit and reduce the UV-C. It's making our life hell over here!

Love your reef!

Thanks so much! Sorry about all the light bleed this daylight savings time has messed up my lighting schedule and it's taken some time to get it dialed back in. Might I suggest in the meantime you picking up a personal protective filter. And maybe a big hat.

Happy reefing mate!

What can you say about a loving, devoted, trusting, companion that has been with you through the toughest parts of your life?

Stella, you've been such a very good girl, you've been my best friend, you helped me through the deepest darkest parts of my life. I don't know where I would have been without you.

I will miss you so much, I know your mommy's waiting for you on the other side of the bridge to love you the rest of the way.

Thank you for saving my life.
Until we meet again, sweet girl.

Rest in peace, Stella.
❤️

Obviously in the wild they're exposed to sunlight and then when they get placed in our tanks they are always under an array of artificial light

Condolences.

you have clearly put quite a bit of love into this reef tank. It’s stunning. I hope it gives you the solace and relaxation I’m sure you need in rough times.
Thank you. Yes, it defiantly does, even a day of cleaning is relaxing.

Also curious ! I know the importance of sunlight for people but would love to know if that extends to fish too

In tank uv steriliser potentially, depending on whether uv-c makes it through the skylight. It would be interesting to know if it does.

Also, whether there are any other benefits from it.

Let's have a warm welcome for our newest addition on Our Natural Sun-lit Reef. Here we have "Bo" our Sohal Tang he needed to be rehomed from the previous owner because he outgrew his last residency.

I'm thinking he'll fit in just fine with his new tankmates.

There is definitely a new Alpha in town. The sheriff is in.

Hi, been lurking for a long time ... ;)
Not sure on the UV, you have some type of filters on the tubes correct ?

PS to call someone tag must look like this @jdpiii3 ...:)
