I don't have a top down view of my corals. But I do have FTS shots of the last day I had my LED's (8-10-16) and the picture from 11-14-16 with my ATI 48" 8x54w . Excuse the brown algae on the sand in the latest one.

What is the new schedule with the T5?
Thanks

I run 6 blue+ and 2 Purple+

Channel 1 (sunrise/sunset 2 blue+)
On at 10am
1pm-8pm 100%
Off at 10pm

Channel 2 (4 blue+ and 2 Purple+)
On at 1pm
1pm-8pm - 100%
Off at 8pm

So from 1pm to 8pm all bulbs are 100%

How's everybody doing? I've had some noticeable growth in my euphyllia and other LPS. SPS continues to be a struggle for me with the exception of my orange setosa. Any updates from everyone else?

Well after my alk spike and it killing 29 SPS frags, plus my orange passion and main WD frag. All the water parameters are stable now and a few friends have given me frags including a large green slimmer, a 3/4" Walt Disney frag, plus about 6 other frags in this last week. Everything is doing well now. I will take a picture when I get home of what my tank looks like now. Below is what it looked like on 11-14 then the first picture after the alk spike on 12-7.

are you guys with cyano dosing vibrant? Just wondering as there are many reports of a direct correlation w/ vibrant dosing and cyano outbreaks. Anyways... reefing is a constant journey of learning from our mistakes and celebrating our success. Hang in there everyone. I'm glad your tanks are bouncing back!

Yea i have done about 8 doses of vibrant. It took care of my gha issue, just waiting on it to kick in on the cyano.

Me too... Didn't have cyano before I started dosing though @john.m.cole3 ... Interesting to see if there is a correlation. May be a great poll discussion for a reefsquad member to start...

I see what you did there and I agree. That one will keep UWC busy. Some folks are saying the cyano pops up from imbalance of N and P like when P is higher than N. I've done 3 doses of it and I'm digging the results. I've had spirulina before but not cyano so it'll be interesting to see what happens around the 8 dose mark.

HA! Couldn't help it..

Agreed, will keep UWC very busy! I don't have any data to base my information on, but I'm willing to wait some period of time and then dose again. It would be nice to have data behind the correlation, if there is one. I've had cyano before, but not like this. It's growing on rocks now, so I'm planning to suck as much out as I can for cleaning. My tank is also fallow right now without my diamond goby, who typically keeps the sand bed stirred up so well that never had an issue before... Would be cool to see what happens to other people..

LED and LED hybrid total to 80% with T5 at a mere 20%. I bet the hybrids hold on to the near lead until LEDs make a breakthrough in coverage and ease of dialing in spectrum. thoughts???

The lux meter works above the water's surface. There are more expensive meters that go underwater but I find that unnecessary. Some PAR meters are actually LUX meters with a built in conversion factor. Average LED conversion factor is 60 where T5 is 50. So when you get your LUX reading from the $15 meter, you divide by your conversion factor to get the PAR reading for that fixture at the water's surface.
