I went to a lfs yesterday because it was thier shipment day, well they got this Pagoda cup coral in and I just had to have it. I haven't seen it open yet as I said the lfs just got it in and had just put it in thier tank. So, my questions are, does it look healthy, and how long should I expect to wait until it opens.

It's a exceptionally nice Turbinaria for sure, congrats. :-)

I think it should open by tomorrow. My frag looks sort of like that, but much smaller. I have had good luck getting it to eat goniopower food.

How long have you had yours and how long did it take to open. I know mine is still alive because it has emitted slime a couple of times

I have had it just over a month. I think the tentacles came out that same day. They are fairly clear and hard to see.

Just wanted to do a quick update on my Pagoda, still no polyp extension but it has started to turn green within this past week. Here's a new pic from today

It is in good shape. With some stable conditions it should turn around to be healthy. This photo is a pagoda cup after five years.
