So I paid for some equipment and guy give me the run around after he told me he would ship yesterday morning. I contacted PayPal and filed claim. So if guy doesn't respond will PayPal give me my money? He won't answer or return text.

As long as you didn't send the money as a "friend or family", you should be protected.

I use pay pal for business as long as you did not pay by sending money as friend, They should take care of it.. It can take a while

I would give him a week, after he said he would ship it, before you file a claim. Things happen, life happens, people get sick, things come up and so on. You will absolutely get your money back regardless if there is a valid excuse or not.

First thing is a day or two. You’re just an impatient person. For all you know they are shipped and he has just not gone online yet.
