I had something that looked similar to this on my foxface. I dosed prazipro thinking it was some kind of worm. They disappeared a day after dosing it. Never came back.

That was my original thought (worms of some sort). The OP should try Prazipro.

I won't sleep until know what this is.

Try Prazipro. It's safe and very mild for the fish. A little itching is normal. If he is itching a lot then I would really worry. Even I itch once in a while. Feeding with some Selcon or vitamins wouldn't hurt either. Maybe a water change too.

In the RC thread, I believe the OP used Kanaplex + Metroplex to get rid of it. Of course, it might have also just been a coincidence. o_O

wow. they look like skin tags almost. I agree wtih trying prazi. If that doesn't work, then into QT for the antibiotics that humble mentioned. Let's see what works. You can always try a freshwater dip first to see if they fall off that way.

Ok so I dosed prazzi.. don't think it helped much.. I'm trying to rule out ich as I have never had it.. but these things on the tang mostly consist of small strands of something exntending off the skin.. i know ich is described as salt.. but these it looks like a bump on the skin with a filament coming out of the skin.. as far as I know this is not ich.. but I also have no idea of what it is

Antibiotics would probably be your next treatment. I would go ahead and treat with the combo mentioned previously in thread.

Do u have any newer photos? This is honestly weird it almost looks like it's molting. Could it be a form of HILLE? Op added phos didn't he? And HILLE has been known to come from bad carbon. I don't know but it is very intriguing
