I don't think a rare or expensive fish makes it the holy grail. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Before buying such an expensive fish one must reflect - do I have the expertise to keep this fish healthy and thriving?
Not only the expertise, but the right environment. The description in the link points out the aquarium should be kept cooler and with lots of caves for hiding. Will this fish go in a species only tank or will it be in a mixed tank?
If mixed, what other inhabitants need cooler water? All things to consider.

I can't say for sure if it's real or not, but, honestly, considering that these fish are known to sell for $30,000 USD, any site selling these fish for less than $10,000 USD would be highly suspect in my book.

Edit: just to add - if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. I would not try to buy one from there.

What was once a $30,000 fish I highly doubt $800 is real . I thought they were a deep water , cold water fish that would not last long in our typical home aquariums .

Yeah - Algae Barn mentions that these guys require specially trained divers to collect them, and then the acclimation process for these guys can take months because of the adjustment to warmer water, light, etc. I would assume that the higher temp and stress probably takes a big toll on these guys.

As odd as it sounds to make a 30,000 fish so cheap .
I would never have guessed a $29.99 yellow tang would sell for $500
I have 6 yellows for 5 or more years and I paid at that tine $25.99 to $29.99

I haven’t seen a $29.99 yellow tang in a few years …. My last one I paid just under $100 Canadian . ( I think it was around $70-$80) this was October 2020
I got these guys back in late 2006-2007

The only place I can find offering them currently that is known to be legit is Among The Reef, and they have them listed in their search box at $12,500, and only available to VIP customers.

Some of these animals I believe are illegal to keep as pets ( in Canada they are illegal )
A lot of them probably are here in the States too. By the way, for anyone interested, a similar thread dealing with a supposedly different site:
