Thank you for the kind words, the corals sure do appreciate it :)
It took Charlie(Charlie's Frags),can't tag him, to eventually convince me that higher nutrients were nothing to worry over, as I took the low nutrient pill years ago. Now, I just let them settle where they currently are. Tests are just that, so no response with results, just useful or in some cases, useless data. I did bring nitrate down over a few months from 80ppm, that was too high, smooth skins didn't like it. But, where I currently sit, I have for months now, which I think has helped with color and growth.

Alright, I have been lost with smooties lately, meanwhile somewhat ignoring my non-smoothie collection. So, with that said, a large drop today!

How long have you have that Sex Feast millie? Mine has good color but has taken almost a year to encrust the frag plug sheesh! Meanwhile the JF solar flare I got a month ago is exploding ‍♂️

Love it lol. I never really know when is the right time to frag. It usually just happens :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Sam, I usually let them sit on the sand, laziness, lol... Trying to be better about gluing to plugs and racking them, still have 2 bg digis now encrusting to rubble and sand ;) I recently cut many of these corals for a local reefer buddy. My new tank is already full, won't be here until the summer, lol :)

Sex Feast is almost 1 year, and has been cut several times, plus a bunch of accidental nubs broken, lol. Some are just like that, my BC Fleshdunce has done very little in a year, moved it to the rack, it was frustrating me with its lazy attitude.

The Jaw Dropper, while my hands down favorite acro, can be one of those finicky corals. When N03 was really high, like 80ppm, it and a few others, showed stress, slight tissue necrosis at encrusting line, and green/browned out. Fortunately my original frag rebounded, and a few months later worthy of a photo ;)

My Christmas present to myself was a smoothie pack from Tim, aka therman. It included a freebie Jaw Dropper frag, so I decided to mount it so that the 2 pieces could fuse into 1 larger coral. Obviously the frag is still adjusting to my parameters, but this will be an interesting coral to observe as time goes on :)

Here's another one of those finicky ones, it too suffered the same issues as did the Jaw Dropper. BC Set For Stun is noted as being essentially a blue Jaw Dropper. This one was in bad shape, and a year later has put on zero mass. Probably my most stubborn piece. Recently, I removed the frag from the rockwork, and replaced it to a dome plug, put in the smoothie garden. Remarkably, it is recovering and actually looking like it's ready to do something. Just important to note that every reefer has those stubborn ones, or few.
