Hi, I want to know why my PH drops when I add salt.

My RODI water gives me 8.6PH on its own.
But when I add Red Sea Coral pro Salt at 35ppm, my PH reads at 7.6-7.7

Any advice?

That's a new one . Here's what they say.
Red Sea Coral Pro Salt will produce stable seawater with a pH of 8.2 – 8.5.

You do not have tools suitable to accurately measure the pH of totally pure water, and regardless of what you measure, if it is 0-1 ppm tds, it is not impacting the pH of seawater made from it.

Once you aerate a salt mix in water, the pH us determined only by the alkalinity and the CO2 level in the air.

Thanks for summarizing like that, it makes sense now.
