Hello there I have a 32 gallon biocube and having problems with ph my dkh is 8.3 cal is 450 and mag is 1450. I run my lights for 11 hrs a day and my tank is mostly sps dominant. During the day my tank gets as high as 7.7 and at night when lights are off it gets as low as 7.20. I've tried water changes, I've tried opening windows in the winter, and even changed out filter media and also calibrated the ph probe multiple times. I do run a small aquaticlife protein skimmer just not having any luck on getting it passed 7.8 for the last month. Thanks for any help and input please

Have you tried to run an airline from outside to your skimmer input? Or you could use a co2 scrubber to do the same thing.

Calibrate your probe.
I can say however that when i had my 360g, my Ph was 7.8 during day and 7.4 at night. Had excellent coral growth

You may want to consider removing the lid and getting an open top (with a screen lid if you want).

So with a pH in the mid 7’s how did your fish do?
im in the same boat. My 25 peninsula is 7.7/8 during the day and at night gets down to 7.6. Im curious and more concerned how fish would do at those levels.

Ok I use the apex to monitor ph and then I checked with my hanna ph checker and they were pretty close together
I’m having the same issues as you are. I’ve noticed opening the windows up and getting plenty of fresh air the pH is going up during the day to around 7.85 at night 7.6. Apex probe has been recalibrated a few times just to check and it matches other methods of testing. PH of the fresh mixed saltwater is 8.2 then slowly drops to 7.8 after after water change.
