Hey guys,
So... to start: I have a 65 gallon reef aquarium. My params are great except for pH, which is 8.0-8.1...
I have a Naso tang, sailfin tang, 3 false percs, 2 chromis, 1 Haddoni carpet nem, an RBTA, 1 yellow gorgonian, electric flame scallop, Xenia, zooanthids, some chaeto, LR, live sand, 65 Gal, protein skimmer, Fluval canister filter 306, 2 hydra HD led lights (downloaded expert settings), 2 850 PHs, heater etc....... Just giving y'all all the info for my reef tank.
SO, my question is:
How can I have a live population of phytoplankton for my filter feeders in my tank so that they can constantly feed on them? I understand that my filters may prohibit this live colonization of my tank. If colonized, will the phytoplankton pass through my mech. filtration or would they get stuck? That is my primary concern.
PS my freaking Haddoni and RBTA are in the back of the tank....unable to be seen... UGH!! any tips?
Thank you!!!
