Bought a supermale pintail wrasse from Elliot at Marine collectors alittle over a year ago. He was my first fish in the tank and gets along with all other wrasses I added later. I know super males are already in the later years of there life. Well today I see he is breathing heavy and in the front corner of the tank just not looking good. Any thoughts

A freshwater dip would be a first step to address the breathing issues. If it's flukes or other parasites bothering the wrasse's gills, the FW dip will help. As with any treatment there are risks.

After the FW dip back into the tanm or get a qt set up. Thanks

If you have a nice, comfy hospital tank setup it would probably be best for observation. Remember, it's OK to have some sand in the tank. Lights off, just ambient room light. A few plastic aquarium plants or other structure to help the fish relax. Best of luck with your beautiful fish.

Anything new added to the tank in the last 30 days or so that was "wet" like corals, inverts, etc.?

Nothing. He looked the norm yesterday. Swimming everywhere, eating. I was thinking age possible. All other fish look great

Hiding in a corner like that, and especially stressed, all point to another tank mate being a bully towards him.
I have a McCoskers who likes to bully my pintail and he hides in the corner as well after a chase.
Never woulda thought a McCoskers would be a bully but he is lol

Well come to think about my yellow tail flasher looks like he is the MAN in the tank . I added my pintail first as full grown and then the yellow tail when he was small. The pintail is alive in the qt tank but just hides and has not ate yet but is moving and very aware. I am treating with prazi, day 3 and kanaplex as one eye now has Popeye.
