I am planning a Florida seagrasses tank with all Florida native seagrasses, macro algae, fish and invertebrates.
So when sourcing organisms I need to know what specific species I would be buying.
Fish, macro algae, seagrasses and copepods usually have genus and species on the vendor websites.
But I am having trouble finding a source for amphipods that gives this information.
I would appreciate any info on people who culture specific amphipods.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! You may need to source some of the items from one of the lab suppliers like Carolina Biological (or something comparable in Florida). I look forward to seeing your tank as it unfolds!

You may have to ID them yourself. One resource is Gulf Specimen Co. in Panacea Florida. They are scientific suppliers of Gulf of Mexico animals. Here is a link to their isopod/amphipod page:

They also sell marine algae and turtle grass.

I've dealt with them since 1974, good people.
