You don’t need to start dosing all for reef. Dosing all for reef is going to increase all of you parameters as far as calcium, alk, and magnesium. The trace elements added will be insignificant. You have another problem going.

I agree. You have like four or five corals in your tank and most look like softies, your coral biomass is very low. Maybe manually dose two part when you get to the point of using up you calcium and alk, but not now. Water changes should replenish everything you need for awhile.

Macro does need iron and nitrate to grow could be the problem with your macro
A bunch of people were telling me I should remove all my chemical filtration and that it is just not needed. So now I’m running just filter pad. Along with skimmer and still the refugium. Also a small bag of carbon that’s it. I removed the purigen and the poly filter. Thinking the poly filter is removing the iron.

I don’t run any chemical filtration at all and haven’t ever yet. Everyone’s tank is different but if your tank is young you are going to go through all kinds of phases. Just keep up with regular proper water changes and you should be okay. Depending how you do your water changes could be what’s hurting your tank if done improperly.

Shoot your tank is still young and has some maturing to do. My tank was still ugly as f*#k at 5 months. Hair algae and all. What salt are you using and how do you go about a water change?
i dont have any algae at all, but i am going through a really bad bacterial bloom. Ive been doing 10% water changes weekly
