I bought this at the LMAS frag swap and it was sold as a moon coral. Please help me ID so I can make sure to properly place it and care for it. I looked in Sprung and Delbeek's Reef Aquarium series last night, but I was really tired.

most def a favia or maybe even goniastrea like speg and condor said. almost always lower light, low to med flow, sandbed is perfectly fine where u got it. some frags of war corals n such are higher up, but colonies i always keep on sand, even when i didn't have powerful lights or a shallow tank so much less par from the light would reach the bottom. they don't need a lot of light, most love gettin fed, and they will grow and stay healthy for u even under not-so-great conditions, considerin some come from murky waters in the wild. hope that helps!! good luck, looks like a great coloration, especially if its a goniastrea.
