I use hanna for alk cal nit phos mag and salifert for potassium

Hanna
Alk
Nit
Phos

Salifert
Mag
Alk
Cal

I use a Neptune trident, but if my numbers look off ill check with Hanna and if those numbers are different ill check with Salifert normally my Hanna and Salifert are pretty close to the same. This is really only for Alk though.

Milwaukee MA887 for saliniy
Hanna Checker for:
PH
Ammonia
Alkalinity
Phosphate ULR
Nitrate High Range
Magnesium
Calcium

Hanna checker:

Milwaukee digital refractometer
TM glass Hydrometer

Inkbird
Hanna Digital

I have Hannah for salinity, nitrates, phosphates, alkalinity and calcium.

Havent used the alkalinity or calcium testers as much as the others.

Salifert
Magnesium
Alkalinity
Calcium
Phosphate

New: AquaWiz for Alkinity. I had the chance to win it at Reefapalooza. Thanks to Anand Kaimal (@collectorscorals)
The AquaWiz works great it test my Alkalinity every hour.

Hanna HR nitrate with API nitrate regents if nitrate is in the range of ~5 to 10ppm
Salifert nitrate as backup if I get a bad batch of Hanna nitrate reagents
Reef-factory smart tester for phosphate spit checked with Hanna ULR phosphate or RedSea phosphate. Reef factory phosphate is very consistent, accurate and precise.
Salifert for Alk, Ca, Mg - always matches to within 0.1dkh and 15ppm with my trident using either tank saltwater or trident calibration solution as reference liquid.

For salinity, Hanna salinity test pen for quick rough check to within +-0.002 SG reading. Tropic Marin hygrometer for accurate reading

I currently use API. Having said that, I’m not happy with API.
I intend to change following this review.

I used the api reagents in the Hanna checker. It’s accurate in the 5 to 15ppm range

Wow interesting! How’d you figure out that’d work?

Neptune Apex
- PH
- ORP
Neptune Trident
- Alkalinity(reliable)
- Calcium(always off ftom ICP)
- Magnesium(always off from ICP)
Hanna
- Salinity
- Nitrate
- Phosphate
- Alkalinity(if Trident seems off)
Monthly ATI ICP
- Running Moonshiners Method

Not my
Post but would like to know

I use Hanna for almost everything, except salinity.
HI736 phosphorus ULR
HI772 alkalinity dKH
HI782 nitrate HR
HI781 nitrate LR
HI783 magnesium
HI758 calcium

I use a NEEBETEK refractometer. It’s cheap, but hold a calibration very, very well with Randy’s DIY calibration fluid.

My tank runs very low nitrate. I dose Plus-NP and Amino-Organic. I was getting 0ppm on the N HR test, but the sample would be pinkish. So I picked up the N LR test a while back and run it weekly just to make sure everything is ok.

I presume the Hanna copper is for medicating. It seems not useful for reef levels where it often gives nonzero values when it should not based on ICP.
Correct, I only use it when medicating. I do not test copper for any other reason.
