I'm getting ready to plumb my tank and have a few questions on using vinyl tubing.

Background: I received this 93 gallon tank from a good friend. They weren't using it as they had upgraded to a 120 gallon. The tank has 1 1/4 inch OD PVC piping coming out of the return bulkhead and a 1 inch OD barbed PVC connector attached to the drain bulkhead.

Additionally, my return pump is the Eheim 1260. It has a 5/8 inch pressure side connector.

1. Will 1 inch OD vinyl tubing fit the 1 inch OD barbed connector coming out of the drain bulkhead?

2. What size vinyl tubing do I need to fit the return pump? Is it 5/8 inch OD, or ID?

3. Will the vinyl tubing I need to fit the Eheim 1260 pressure-side connector be large enough to use as a return?

Thank you.

Your fittings no matter what size is outer diameter your tubing needs be same size id to fit over the fitting they both have to be same size so 1" od fitting and 1" id hose .and yes 5/8 id hose for your eheim pump. Think your 1 1/4 is your drain and 1" is return it be odd a return would be bigger than the drain . its kinda confusing I know .
