Plumbing help for UV needed

Okay fellow reefers, I'm asking for advice how to plumb a UV into my tank to eradicate dinos. The tank is a standard 40g breeder, no sump, so tying it into a manifold is out. I'm looking at a 15 watt unit, possibly a jebao or sicce off brs. I tried a submersible unit, but realized it was only a 7 watt bulb.

what does your 40g breeder look like without a sump?

Do you run a canister filter? A HOB?

Either way, without any plumbing, a UV sterilizer might not be feasible.

You can try one of those UV wands

The most common thing I see people doing to nuke Dinos with a UV is just dropping a pump in the DT, plumbed quick and dirty via tubing to a sterilizer sitting on top of or around the DT!

This haphazard arrangement is so common because you don’t need the UV sterilizer anymore once the issue is rectified!

Thanks, that sounds like the direction I'll need to go, since my filter a Tidal 55 doesn't have any barbs for hoses.
