While I think they do look cool, they just have an unnatural feel to them. Unless i'm simulating the wreckage of the titanic; skulls don't have a place in my tank :)(too soon?)

Soooo you threw a few coke bottles in your tank to float around and some tires at the bottom? [emoji16][emoji2][emoji1]
I thought I hid those tires with live rock and sand........they were there strictly to protect the glass in case a rock fell :)

Brilliant, and from a fellow Floridian to boot. My drink of choice and the name of my clowns - Grey & Goose. The RBTA that hosts them is named Ice! But I digress.:cool::cool:

@jsker, take a look at this!!!

hahaha.... Guess I'm one of those... lots of skull tattoos, skull artwork around the home, just had to put a skull in the tank. Ill post picture when i get home and you can all tell me how good or bad it looks.

As for those that don't like the un-natural look.... nothing is natural about a reef in a home ;);Wacky:p

I would say having man made objects is more realistic given the state of our oceans. I was tidepooling with my sister and we found so much waste including a shoe and so many golfballs.

This thread reminded me to finish up my skull. It is a small vodka bottle. I cut the neck off with a Dremel tool and covered the hole with some reef safe epoxy. Once it finishes drying I’ll sand the epoxy smooth and add a Superman Monti to it to encrust.

I'm all for adding character but skulls are just corny. I mean come on... You worship death or something? Laying the cheese on thick using a skull. A dead human head...

I bought some killer hand made troll looking goblin creatures from Alternative Reef at RAP. I'll take a pic later to share. They have coated magnets, but I may not use the magnet and instead put them into the rockwork somewhere.
