+1 Everyone just needs to chill (refrain from hurling more insults) until we can sort this out.

No issues here as I've added all the people who think I'm useless to my "ignore list" built into this forum software. What a great forum option

I use my skimmer primarily to pull outside air into the tank water. I have an air pump with wood air stone doing the same thing in the sump. This help lower high oxygen levels in the day time and raise oxygen levels at night.

I skim very dry. My tank needs the N/P nutrients, so skimming it all out does not make sense. I eve have to dose nitrate and phosphate so slimming dry makes sense.

Based on the Eric Boreman information referenced above, I’m now wondering if the skimmer (gas exchanger) makes sense. I do know my pH is at least 0.2 pH units higher when I run it (while pulling in outside air).
