I purchased this from a live rock container and when i turned by blue light on it had a glow, can this still be alive???

There's still polyps alive on there. Corals can come back from a tiny piece of tissue. Good find and with TLC it may fully recover.

Oh wow thats awesome! I grabbed it because it looked cool lol. Anything i should do since its in a tank thats being cycled still?
 
Tough call. It might pull through, it's a gamble. I've had coral come back on a dead skeleton from a piece of tissue you couldn't see with a naked eye. Going through a cycle it might be tough, you'll just have to wait and see.
 
Should i do a dip? I dont know too much about corals yet. Any links and info would be greatly appreciated to help keep it.
Also does anyone know what this is?
