any chance you can make this stupid simple for me and hook me up with a stock list/sizes for bulkheads, pvc and whatever else I need?
For you, of course. It will be this afternoon, but I got ya.

Once I figured out a way to deflect return water inside my tub it was on and popping. They will love you with tons of turn over inside that thing moving water around them just not alot on them.
I used a 2" pvc T that most of my return dumped into and pushed the water to outside edges that created tons of movement.

That’s my thought with the Loc line. 2 nozzles blowing directly on bottom to keep detritus from building up and 2 at surface forcing water around edges. Should push all water directly to drain.

I gave up on surface it was just too tricky man. That flow on top would bother some of my shrooms.
If you can. Add extra overflow so there are no dead spots and water naturally finds and go to it.
I have 1 overflow on each wall of the table I kept.

At 3/4 turned up im pushing a 900gph pond pump through it right now. You would never know.

Well, the shrooms I have now are all in some kind of flow and growing fine. Most are in the living room 180 or the 7’ frag tank. So they have carpet and mag nem flow left overs hitting them. Once I get them moved over, I can play with it. It’s not like it is hard to drill. I have like 12 bulkheads sitting around also lol.

Hahaha very true. Dont tell anyone but I mastered the technique of drilling my tubs full of water and shrooms. Every step of the way there was something to fine tune or make better. 4 tables daisy chained was alot of fine tuning happening on daily basis haha

Ohh there was. Even sanding as I forgot that there are bumps that stick out on the inside of the tub. ;Facepalm

2 drains. One main and one emergency. Tuning it now.
Return is an old mag pump for now. Plan to get a dc one when get back from Florida. It goes bulkhead and black soft hose to pump. Lock line inside tank with 1 up and one on bottom. Siphon break drilled in locking just below surface.

Stand is some scrap pallet wood made into a stand lol.

Starts with no mess and ends with crap still all over floor lol.

So far, no leaky leaky after an hour of being full.
Also, ignore the sock and no that is not fresh silicone on the one bulkhead. I was lazy and haven’t peeled it off yet. I usually do not run them, but added the sand in the tub to the frag tank and stirred some stuff up lol.

Total cost of this is whatever the tub cost 6 years ago and whatever all of the scrap pieces of pipe equates to.

Lighting will be an sb reef light that only the blue works and supplemented with 2x coral plus bulbs for now.

Hey Steve since you've got nothing going on today, what do you think about this pump to go under the 180?
Screenshot_20210701-110010.png
Nope. Max head pressure is only 8.9’. Would be a trickle once plumbing is involved

@Lost in the Sauce

This is what I have on one of the 180s, the macro grow out and the 7’ frag tank. Feed the tank, uv, and reactors on the 180 and frag tank. 180 ends up at 60% and frag at 30%. Macro is at 50% as I just need enough to slowly tumble 7’ of macro lol. No rocks or anything blocking the flow.

Also, is based support and awesome support at that. They replaced a controller with a bad led quickly and without hesitation.

I'm stupid and linked the wrong one. I'm looking at the 2400. Max head 15'1

That would probably be about 700-800 gph when installed and at 100%. I always oversize Dc pumps, so I can run them at a lower speed and prolong the life of the pump.

There must be a huge difference between that and the 1600. My simplicity 1600 is running at full tilt and flow is sort of anemic.

Here is the 1600 on the frag tank at 80 and 20. With the piping, 90s and a feed to the uv at about 150gph. Equates to 6.7 feet of head pressure with 1.25” piping for the main run. The

Lifted nozzle out of water a little to show flow.

80% (at 100% it hits the cross bar with the nozzle just barely submerged lol.

Direct out to I believe 3/4"" flex up 4' to a split, 3/4" flex to dual returns.

I played with the seal like you previously said but it made no difference in flow rate so I assume it was on correctly
3/4” piping is the issue. If it was an a/c pump it wouldn’t affect it badly. Dc pumps hate restrictions. 3/4 pipe flows 400 gph with gravity and about 1400 at 100 psi.
